About
English Department
The Department of English was started in 2012 with 46 students in UG and it was elevated to PG Department in the year 2015 with a strength of 19 students and Research Department in the year 2017 with 13 Scholars. The Department of English since its inception has been striving hard for the upliftment of the rural students in communicative English. Its aim is to provide a platform to the students hailing from highly remote zone for uplifting their career with good communication. We have 180 students in UG, 24 students in PG and 2 Scholars in Research.
A team of well qualified staff members with total dedication and takes all efforts towards the students to enrich the literary knowledge and communication skills. The department provides copious opportunities to the students to exhibit their talents. The department trains the students to face the competitive examinations and conduct various competitions, paper presentations and Inter- Collegiate events to relish the real taste of language.
Vision
To encourage and enhance the oral and written competency of the learners of English in comprehending the literary text and analyzing the technical finesse of the English language and literature.
Mission
To motivate the young learners in garnering their interest to adapt, reform and accept the technicalities of the English language and literature and enable them to become proficient in the communication skills as well as professional skills.
